Jamba Juice Caribbean Passion Smoothie Copycat

Jamba Juice Caribbean Passion Smoothie Copycat

Okay, I’m a little addicted to making quick, 4 ingredient Jamba Juice smoothie copycats.  Why get in my car, drive to Jamba, and spend three times as much when I can create my own at home?  Mango-A-Go-Go and Razzmatazz were a success! Now come fall in love with my strawberry and peach Caribbean Passion smoothie.   Pure orange juice with a frozen or fresh banana has been an easy, quick substitute for sherbet and frozen yogurt (which Jamba’s recipes call for).  Pureed frozen bananas taste just like  ice cream and make your smoothies super creamy.  To freeze a banana, simple peel the banana, place in a freezer zip-lock bag, and throw it in the freezer for at least a few hours.  I’ve frozen up to 6 at one time together in the same bag.  Easy, peasy.       I’m always searching for ways to decrease the amount of dairy in my recipes.  We eat too much dairy and most of us have dairy sensitivities and don’t even know it.  Did you know that 60% of people stop producing the enzyme lactase which breaks down lactose, the main sugar in milk, around age two?  Also, dairy sensitivity does not always present through digestive issues like bloating, constipation, and diarrhea.  For me, it’s migraines.  In addition to migraines, dairy can cause chronic headaches, muscle and joint pain, nasal congestion, and fatigue.  Since eliminating dairy, I haven’t had one migraine!  Hallelujah!  This creamy, tropical Caribbean Passion smoothie reminds me just how deliciously amazing healthy substitutes can make something taste.   Print Jamba Juice Caribbean Passion Smoothie Copycat Ingredients 2 cups natural orange juice 1...
Jamba Juice Razzmatazz Smoothie Copycat

Jamba Juice Razzmatazz Smoothie Copycat

It’s been a fun challenge duplicating Jamba Juice’s refreshing smoothies with only 4 ingredients.  Have you tried my Mango-A-Go-Go recipe yet?  Well, I can’t decide which one I love more!  I loved the tropical mango flavor, but yet love the sweet taste of strawberries and raspberries in this Razzmatazz smoothie.  Who says we need to choose favorites, right?  Well, now that I bring it up, what’s your favorite Jamba smoothie?       When purchasing frozen mixed berries, choose organic.  I know, I know, it’s slightly more expensive but isn’t your health worth it?  Organic produce and frozen organic produce eliminate pesticides, chemicals, waxes, and other harmful substances.  Organic also tastes better and provides greater nutritional value.  After noticeably tasting the difference, I choose organic fruits and vegetables when I can.   I know I just mentioned this in my Mango-A-Go-Go recipe.  However, I really cannot go a day without my Vitamix.  If you’re going to have awesome smoothies, a quality blender is the ‘must’ of all ‘musts’.  Read here why I decided to buy a Vitamix.  I’ve heard good things about BlendTec and Ninja, but I will always be faithful to Vitamix.     When picking orange juice, read the ingredients!  Many have added sugar or preservatives.  The closest to freshly squeezed orange juice is Simply Orange.  It’s not-from-concentrate and you can taste the quality in comparison to others.  I’m an avid water drinker, but when needed for recipes I only purchase Simply Orange juice.  Once again, a little more expensive but totally worth it. Enjoy your homemade Jamba, my friends!   Print Jamba Juice Razzmatazz Smoothie Copycat Ingredients 2 cups 100%...
