Jamba Juice Orange C-Booster CopyCat

Jamba Juice Orange C-Booster CopyCat

Jamba Juice lovers… holla!  I didn’t realize so many people crave Jamba Juice like I do until my healthy copycat recipes started blowing up! Do you know what my Mango-A-Go-Go, Peanut Butter Moo’d, Razzmatazz, and Caribbean Passion have in common?  They are 4 ingredients or less, dairy-free, sugar-free, gluten-free, and scrumptious-FULL!  Let’s keep this party going by introducing Jamba Juice Orange C-Booster! Okay, I’ll try to chill out on using so many exclamation points…. really, I’ll do my best. When I’m under the weather, my mind immediately turns towards a soothing Jamba Juice Orange C-Booster.  It’s overflowing with vitamin C and nothing feels better on a sore throat than a cold smoothie. I had the flu (yes, the real flu) a couple months ago and it knocked. me. out. I was in bed for a week and my body felt on fire.  The body aches were the worst part!  I’ll stop complaining… there’s a reason nurses make the worst patients.  Since being sick is a form of torture, I of course needed Jamba to comfort me.  Thanks to my sweet honey, Orange C-Booster made an appearance.  It almost makes being sick worth it. Almost. Like my other Jamba Juice copycats, there are only 4 ingredients: orange juice, peaches, pineapple, and banana.  The original recipe calls for orange sherbet which contains added sugar and dairy.  A frozen banana quickly replaces the sherbet and its creamy texture tastes like vanilla ice cream.  Don’t believe me?  Try my 3 ingredient blender ice cream.    Freezing bananas is really simple.  Wait until your bananas are the perfect yellow (not green and not brown).  Peel your bananas (up to 6), place in ziplock gallon...
3 Ingredient Pancakes

3 Ingredient Pancakes

It’s no secret.  I love breakfast.  I did a little research and found out that 31 million Americans skip breakfast.  What?!?! The most common reasons people skip breakfast were being too busy, not being hungry, or they just didn’t want to take time to eat.  It’s not hush-hush that breakfast is essential for healthy living and happy stomachs.  So… if you’re one of those missing out on the benefits of breakfast, I’ve created some quick and satisfying breakfast recipes.     My sister introduced me to combining eggs and oats for a quick pancake.  I’ve played around with a couple different combinations and found that adding a banana and some cinnamon added a perfect amount of sweetness and flavor.  Also, skip the butter and try spreading coconut oil on a warm pancake, slice up some fresh fruit, and pour on some pure maple syrup.   I have plenty of quick and tasty breakfast recipes for you.  Try my Banana Apple Oatmeal Smoothie, Breakfast Quiches, and Strawberry Banana Morning Smoothie.  These 3 ingredient pancakes along with the recipes just listed will have you smitten with breakfast just like me.     Print3 Ingredient Pancakes Ingredients6 eggs 1 large banana, peeled 2 cups quick oats 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)InstructionsIn a blender (you know I love my Vitamix!), blend 6 eggs and banana for about 30 seconds until smooth. In a small bowl, combine egg/banana mixture, oats, and cinnamon together until moist. Heat small frying pan over medium heat. Spray with olive oil and pour about 1/2 cup mixture into pan. Use spatula to smooth out mixture in a thin layer. Cook for about...
Jamba Juice Peanut Butter Moo’d Smoothie Copycat

Jamba Juice Peanut Butter Moo’d Smoothie Copycat

Just thinking of combining rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and smooth bananas makes my mouth water.  Well, why settle for dreaming when I could create my own version of Peanut Butter Moo’d with only three ingredients.     To create the tastiest and healthiest version of this smoothie, here are my recommendations.  Remember how I mentioned in my Caribbean Passion recipe how most of us have dairy sensitivities and don’t even realize it?  Well, the original Jamba recipe calls for frozen yogurt and chocolate milk.  Frozen bananas are a creamy, sweet substitute for frozen yogurt and chocolate almond or coconut milk are a velvety, calcium-rich substitute for dairy milk.  You will not taste any difference, but your insides will thank you for making these small changes.   Also, choose a natural peanut butter like Adam’s Peanut Butter.  It has one ingredient: peanuts.  Other PB have additional oil, sugar, salt, and even sometimes molasses.  Your peanut butter doesn’t need anything more than good ol’ peanuts.  Read those ingredients!       This is my forth Jamba makeover and am loving how simple I’ve been able to re-create some of my favorites.  Mango-A-Go-Go, Razzmatazz, and Caribbean Passion have already been mastered with 4 ingredients.  I didn’t think I could make it any easier until this peanut butter chocolate smoothie.  Hmmm… which smoothie should I recreate next?   PrintJamba Juice Peanut Butter Moo'd Smoothie Copycat Ingredients2 cups chocolate or dark chocolate almond or coconut milk 1/4 cup natural peanut butter 2 frozen bananasInstructionsIn a Vitamix blender, add ingredients in order listed. Blend on high until smooth and slushy. Enjoy!3.1http://www.nodietsallowed.com/jamba-juice-peanut-butter-mood-smoothie-copycat/   Mango-A-Go-Go Razzmatazz Caribbean...
Overnight Oats in a Jar

Overnight Oats in a Jar

I can’t be the only one searching for a variety of healthy, quick, and filling breakfast options, right?  I’ve created several fast, easy, and yummy-in-my-tummy breakfast options such as my Banana Apple Oatmeal Smoothie, Multigrain Waffles, and my Creamy Oatmeal.  LOVE them!  However, this morning I wanted to experiment with something a little different.  Overnight Oats in a Jar are quickly made the night prior (seriously in like 5 minutes or less) and refrigerated overnight.  Slice some fresh berries on top and ta-da!  Your breakfast is ready.     Don’t over look breakfast anymore!  Especially not when amazingly scrumptious options like this is available.  Go ahead and hit your snooze one more time because your breakfast will be ready and waiting whenever you decide to wake and arise.   Oh, did I also mention my Breakfast Quiches.  They can also be waiting in the refrigerator for you.  Bake some prior and they make an incredible quick, healthy, and filling breakfast.  See?!?!  There is no reason to skip on nutrition or taste for breakfast.  These sweet, satisfying, and creamy Overnight Oats are just waiting for you to devour!  They’re also pretty tasty topped with banana or apple slices.       Chia Seeds are these tiny little power houses full of incredible benefits. They’re really mild in flavor, but they’re crammed pack of Omega-3s, fiber, antioxidants, protein, and help decrease chances of Type II Diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and much more.  Your mouth and body will thank you for adding them to your overnight oats.  I’m definitely infatuated with Chia Seeds!   PrintOvernight Oats Ingredients1 and 1/2 cups vanilla almond or coconut milk...
Apple Fruit Sandwiches

Apple Fruit Sandwiches

I’ve seen lots of different variations of an apple sandwich. I love keeping it simple with juicy apples, sweet bananas, and flavorful strawberries.  I’ve also seen where you can top your apple slices with peanut butter and granola, almond butter and raisins, or you can just try my way. Remember how I’m a fruit-aholic?     You begin by washing your apples and fresh strawberries. Seriously… scrub those babies.  I know I keep talking about it, but I seriously am in love with Fit: Fruit and Vegetable Wash.  Anyways, then thinly slice your apples (I did both organic Fuji and Granny Smith). To prevent them from browning, lightly coat slices with lemon or lime juice (makes it a little tart) or pineapple juice (a sweeter option). You can use the same method for your banana slices. Top your apple slices with banana and strawberry slices. Viola! Definitely full of complimentary flavors and super easy.       PrintApple Fruit Sandwiches Ingredients1 large Fuji or Granny Smith apples, washed and sliced thinly 1 banana, peeled and sliced thinly 10 large strawberries, washed and sliced thinly InstructionsOnce fruit is washed and sliced, layer beginning with apple slice, banana slices, and topped with strawberry slices.
